But it's not. My friend Jill Miller Zimon is in the process of kicking butt in the Pepper Pike City Council race, in Cuyahoga County (think Cleveland) in my former home state of Ohio. Go Jill! Your gain is Virginia's crushing loss!
Don't ask, don't tell. Really, Virginia.
Actually Jill has nothing to do with Virginia, just everything to do with a race well run and run with integrity. Impressive stuff. Here she is when we are at NPR on Election Night '08.
I don't have a whole lot today. I'm tired. I have some kind of problem with going to sleep at a reasonable hour and tonight, in a Lancaster, Pennsylvania, hotel room, I am going to do so before midnight, maybe even 11:30, having found way better than average sushi in a fairly rural area and eating it while I watched The Biggest Loser and cried. (No I can't stop watching this show. No I don't know why. Yes I want to punch my television every time Alison Sweeney starts talking like Rob the Copy Guy from Saturday Night Live. I don't know what I'm doing.) I'm going to bed now partially because I feel like I'm going to pass out face down in my keyboard so I really don't have any choice, and also because I have to wake up on time to see this dude, who is our 9 a.m. keynote tomorrow morning.
Yeah, I don't exactly know why it's happening at a career counseling conference either, but I'm expecting there will be coffee. Also I will not be "WOOHOO-ing" at 9 a.m., you can pretty much count on that.

And now I'll have Arcadia in my head all. day. long.
Go Jill!
